Youth/Girls Recreation Teams
Our Recreation (C) level teams are USA Hockey sanctioned and play in the Metropolitan Hockey League (MHL) which plays across the Greater Puget Sound region. Teams at this level are typically balanced within the association so as to provide competitive play across all teams. We offer coed and girls-only rec teams.
Co-ed Select Teams
Select (A/B) teams will offer a more competitive practice and league experience that are designed for the more advanced player. These teams will typically play in the Pacific Northwest Amateur Hockey Associations "PNAHA" League and compete in their respective state tournament at the end of the year.
Youth Tier 1/AAA
This is the highest level of youth hockey offered within USA Hockey. Players on these teams will compete on the state, regional and national level. They will receive professional level skill development and gain the tools to help reach their hockey goals.
USA Hockey Registration
Prior to participating in any hockey programs through Kraken Community Iceplex, all participants must acquire a USA Hockey Membership.*
Financial Assistance
Financial support for youth hockey programming is available through the One Roof Foundation.
Volunteer Coaches
Youth hockey couldn’t happen without the parents and community volunteers that help with all facets of the game. We have opportunities for volunteer coaches, team managers, score keepers, clock managers and penalty box managers. It's a great way to help out and build friendships and community that will last a lifetime.
