Try Hockey Officiating for Free
Sunday, August 16 | 10:00am - 12:00pm
Opportunities start with the drop of a puck! USA Hockey invites you to Try Officiating for Free. Participants will receive education in basic fundamentals of officiating as they work a low-level scrimmage with on-ice and off-ice coaching. Additional information regarding officiating certification, memberships and getting started as a ref will be provided at the program.
This coed session includes 30 minutes in the classroom and 1 hour on the ice.
Become a Volunteer Coach
Youth hockey couldn’t happen without the parents and community volunteers that help with all facets of the game. We have opportunities for volunteer coaches, team managers, scorers, clock managers and penalty box managers. A great way to help out and build friendships and community that will last a lifetime.

Congrats to the Rink Flamingos for winning the Women's Division in the Kraken Hockey League's 2025-26 Fall/Winter Season! The Rink Flamingos also won their division in the 2026 Kraken Cup!
The Jr Kraken 14U Girls Development Team won bronze at the TriCitites Female Ice Classic in Coquitlam on March 15, 2026.

Official Training Facility of the Seattle Torrent
The Seattle Torrent are currently playing their inaugural 2025-26 season with home games at Climate Pledge Arena. We are excited to host the team as their official training facility, bringing women's hockey closer to the community.
Jr Kraken players and Kraken Hockey League women's players welcomed the new team at the expansion announcement at Climate Pledge Arena.
Try Hockey for Free
On Saturday, March 7 girls attended our Try Hockey for Free coed and girls sessions! A full class of over 40 girls came out to try hockey with our youth hockey coaches and Jr Kraken girls players, who helped the girls stand up on skates, hold a hockey stick and shoot a puck.

Voyager's Cup Tournament
Our Voyager's Cup all girls youth tournament returned to Kraken Community Iceplex over MLK weekend, Jan 17-19, 2026.
15 youth girls teams, including teams from Alaska and Canada, competed in a 3-day tournament with 34 games. Between games, these athletes enjoyed a Z-GiRLS clinic breakfast, an on-ice skills clinic, and watched the Torrent and Kraken practice!
